Olethreutes flavifasciana KAWABE, 1982, is transferred to the genus Apotomis on the basis of characters of the male, which is described for the first time. Wings and female genitalia are redescribed with illustrations. Larval host plant, Carpinus japonica, is recorded from Japan for the first time.
